贫中富手向下 照顾户捐竹筒救灾

台中县太平市的慈济照顾户黄郑美珊，家里头有两个中风的家人要照顾，一个是女儿、一个是先生，家庭的经济收入就靠先生的老人年金，一家人生活过得十分拮据，不过黄郑美珊一知道智利发生地震，便马上捐出竹筒，希望也能够做一个手心向下的有福人。
拄着助行器，一步一步慢慢走，黄郑美珊45岁的女儿三年多前中风，行动不便，连走路都得靠人搀扶。
黄郑美珊的女儿黄如兰：「其实也想出来工作，什么的，也想正常上班，但是我中风什么都不能做，所以我很感谢妈妈家人的照顾。」
64岁的黄郑美珊有中风的女儿要照顾，另一方面还得照顾75岁中风的老伴，蜡烛两头烧，黄郑美珊一度得了忧郁症，是慈济的关怀才打开了心门。
慈济志工廖幼娘：「让她能够启善念，断她的恶口说好话，所以一年多前我们给她竹筒，让她每天发愿。」
慈济照顾户黄郑美珊：「投进去，就感觉说发一个愿，感觉心比较开，也比较有信心。」
投一个硬币，发一个好愿，一年多来，黄郑美珊走出了忧郁，竹筒也变得沉甸甸，这回智利发生地震，黄郑美珊就马上把竹筒捐出来。
照顾户黄郑美珊：「慈济帮我这么多忙，就想说以后我做得到的时候我会加减捐多一点，捐给需要的人来帮助他们。」
捐竹筒做好事，黄郑美珊七岁的小孙女也捐出自己存了好久的竹筒。
黄郑美珊的孙女黄芷柔：「师姑教我做好事帮助别人，所以存了很多很多的钱来帮助别人。」
祖孙一起行善，她们是心灵富足的有福人。
Poor in pocket, but rich at heart
Another woman who gives generously, despite coming from a deprived background, is Tzu Chi care recipient, Huang-Zheng Meishan. The full-time homemaker from Taiping City in central Taiwan struggles to care for her husband and her daughter, who are both stroke victims. So Tzu Chi volunteers were touched when Huang-Zheng made a donation to quake-victims in Chile. Huang-Zheng says, the true value of money is being able to help other people.
A mother's eternal love
Huang-Zheng Meishan accompanies her daughter, Huang Rulan, who needs a walking stick because after suffering a stroke three years ago, mobility has became difficult for the 45-year-old.
Care recipient's daughter, Huang Rulan:"I actually want to find a job, and work like everyone else. But after the stroke, I can't do much, so I'm really thankful to have my mother looking after me. "
Too much on her plate
Huang-Zheng is also cares for her 75-year-old husband, who also suffered a stroke. Shouldering such a heavy burden, Huang-Zheng eventually succumbed to depression. Fatefully, with Tzu Chi volunteers' assistance regained strength.
Tzu Chi volunteer, Liao Youniang:"We hoped to enlighten her heart, and not bad-mouth and say good words instead. So a year ago, we gave her a coin bank to let her make good wishes."
Care recipient, Huang-Zheng Meishan:"Whenever I drop a coin, I make a good wish. I definitely feel happier and more confident."
Sowing a field of blessings
Huang-Zheng cultivated a generous heart after a year of donations; so much so that she immediately offered a can-full of coins to send the warmth over to Chile quake-survivors.
Care recipient, Huang-Zheng Meishan:"Tzu Chi has given us so much support. In the future, I will donate as much as possible, when necessary and give it to help others."
Shoots of love spread in family
The spirit of great love has even inspired Huang-Zheng's 7-year-old granddaughter to join the league of charity.
Care recipient's granddaughter, Huang Zhirou:"The Tzu Chi aunty taught me to do good and help other people. So I saved up plenty of money to offer my support."
Harvesting happiness
Huang-Zheng will continue to be on double care-taking duty, but she remains strong because of the happiness she has gained from Tzu Chi's great love.
